CHAIR'S UPDATE 2010

2009 was a challenging year for the SOHSA committee as we had several changes to speakers and dates of meetings but I think you'll agree it has been worth the effort as we have had some very good presentations. On behalf of all our members, I offer our most grateful thanks to all the speakers and organisations who have entertained and advised us so well last year. Visits to organisations' premises are always enjoyable and our thanks must go to them for their hospitality.

We, as safety professionals must keep striving to make health and safety a sensible proactive action for people to follow, therefore I give you this quote which I saw widely used at tourist spots in Austrailia: "Your safety is our concern but your responsability" What a sensible approach!
